About the Role
Ben Bellucci Academy (BBA) is seeking energetic, professional, and reliable After-School Camp Counselors to join our Howard County team. This role is a "hybrid" position, perfect for those who enjoy a variety of activities—including Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Cheer, Dance, and basic Gymnastics/Tumbling.
In Howard County, our programs are known for high engagement and quality instruction. You don’t need to be an expert in every sport; we need role models who can bring high energy, maintain a safe environment, and help elementary students (Grades K-5) thrive.
What You’ll Do
Activity Assistance: Work alongside lead coaches to run drills and games for basketball, soccer, and flag football.
Spirit & Dance Support: Help lead basic cheerdance routines and assist with introductory tumbling/gymnastics.
Enrichment Leadership: Guide small groups of students through activities like Chess, creative games, and team-building challenges.
Site Support: Facilitate student check-in/out, take attendance, and manage the organization of sports equipment.
Mentorship: Act as a positive influence, promoting sportsmanship, kindness, and hard work among participants.
Schedule & Pay
Hours: After-school hours, typically 3:15 PM – 5:15 PM or 3:45 PM – 5:45 PM (aligned with HCPSS bell schedules).
Flexibility: 1–4 days per week (perfect for college students or local educators).
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience and background.

Requirements
A genuine passion for working with children in grades K–5.
Reliable transportation to school sites across Howard County.
Strong communication skills and a professional, positive demeanor.
Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting in accordance with Howard County Public Schools (HCPSS) and Maryland state vendor standards.
